New FIAT Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design Van Debut with Bold New Look and EV Power

FIAT Scudo S-Design

FIAT Professional has updated its mid-size van lineup for 2025, sharpening both style and substance. The new Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design bring a sportier aesthetic without compromising utility. Aimed at commercial operators who value efficiency, low emissions, and visual appeal, this redesign updates one of Europe’s most trusted vans.

Both diesel and electric versions are on offer. The E-Scudo S-Design strengthens FIAT’s growing EV portfolio while maintaining the same load capacity and practicality as its combustion sibling.

What’s New in the 2025 FIAT Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design?

Aesthetics Built for the Street

FIAT Professional calls the new look “sporty and dynamic.” That means cleaner lines, new exterior finishes, and black styling elements aimed at making the van look less industrial and more personal.

Exterior upgrades include:

  • Glossy black grille and headlight surrounds
  • Black FIAT badge with red background
  • Gloss black wheels and mirror caps
  • New S-Design badge on the front doors

The goal is to bridge commercial needs with passenger-vehicle styling. The S-Design package is aimed at professionals who care how their vehicle represents their business.

Under the Hood – Diesel and EV Options

Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)

The 2025 Scudo comes with a choice of 1.5L or 2.0L diesel engines. These engines focus on fuel economy and compliance with Euro 6D standards.

Key ICE specs:

Engine TypePower OutputTransmissionFuel Type
1.5L120 hpManualDiesel
2.0L145 hpAutoDiesel
  • All engines include Stop & Start tech to reduce emissions
  • Maximum payload capacity: 1,400 kg
  • Towing capacity: 2,500 kg

Electric Variant – The E-Scudo S-Design

The E-Scudo offers two battery sizes—50 kWh and 75 kWh—with a WLTP range of up to 205 miles.

E-Scudo key facts:

  • Max power: 136 hp
  • Top speed: 81 mph
  • Fast charging (100 kW DC): 0–80% in around 30 minutes
  • Load capacity: same as diesel models

FIAT focused on preserving interior and cargo space by integrating the battery below the floor. This keeps the E-Scudo just as usable for tradespeople, fleet operators, or courier services.

Inside the Cabin – Business-Oriented Comfort

The interior of both versions sees minor updates, with functionality still leading the design.

Cabin features include:

  • Adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support
  • Foldable passenger bench with integrated desk
  • Ample storage compartments in the dash and doors
  • 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Optional head-up display and digital rearview mirror

The driver’s environment is designed for long shifts with minimal fatigue. That means fewer distractions, better ergonomics, and materials that are easy to clean.

Tech and Safety – Designed to Minimize Downtime

FIAT Professional offers up to 14 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) across the Scudo and E-Scudo models.

Safety tech includes:

  1. Lane Departure Warning
  2. Traffic Sign Recognition
  3. Driver Attention Alert
  4. Forward Collision Alert
  5. Autonomous Emergency Braking
  6. Blind Spot Monitoring
  7. Adaptive Cruise Control
  8. Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Connectivity also gets a boost. Through the FIAT app, fleet managers and drivers can:

  • Locate the vehicle
  • Track usage
  • Schedule maintenance
  • View charging status (EV)
  • Lock/unlock doors remotely

Customization for Real-World Use

The 2025 Scudo and E-Scudo are offered in three body types:

  1. Van – Pure cargo utility
  2. Crew Cab – Fits up to six people
  3. Platform Cab – For conversions and specialist builds

Three wheelbase options are available. This lets businesses pick the size that best fits their payload and parking needs.

Crew Cab4.0 m³1,300 kg2.92 m

Why S-Design Matters for Commercial Buyers

The S-Design trim isn’t about luxury—it’s about reputation and recognition. For small business owners and tradespeople, the vehicle doubles as a mobile billboard.

Visual impact matters. The gloss black elements, badge tweaks, and signature S-Design touches give this van a more confident stance on city streets.

  • It helps brands stand out without expensive custom wraps
  • It attracts attention without extra costs
  • It provides personality in a market of plain white boxes

Electric Fleets Are on the Rise—FIAT Is Ready

More fleet operators across Europe are adding zero-emission vans to meet regulations and improve operating costs.

The E-Scudo directly supports that shift with:

  • Zero local emissions
  • Low total cost of ownership
  • Access to low-emission zones (LEZs)
  • Silent operation for urban deliveries

Thanks to Stellantis’ shared EV architecture, maintenance costs drop as fewer parts require servicing compared to diesel vans.

The Competitive Edge – Why It Matters Now

FIAT Professional sits in a crowded market that includes:

  • Ford Transit Custom
  • Renault Trafic
  • Mercedes-Benz Vito
  • Volkswagen Transporter

The updated Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design offer:

  • Competitive payload
  • Urban-friendly size
  • EV range without cargo loss
  • Visual appeal that matches function

By focusing on efficiency, design, and practicality, FIAT stays relevant in a field where commercial buyers have little tolerance for fluff.

Final Thoughts – Smart Utility with Visual Impact

FIAT Professional has refreshed the Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design to better meet modern commercial needs. The emphasis on black detailing, functional interiors, and customization means buyers no longer have to choose between style and usability.

For businesses moving toward electrification, the FIAT E-Scudo delivers a no-compromise solution. And for those staying with diesel, the FIAT Scudo S-Design updates the brand’s most work-ready van with cleaner looks.

In both cases, the 2025 model year pushes FIAT deeper into the fleet segment with vans that look the part and work as hard as ever.
