The new Renault Austral features several very intriguing high-end trims and some more modestly equipped trims powered by a 1.33-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (TCe). In contrast, Nissan's TCe series 1.2-liter 3-cylinder in-line turbo engine, developed for the French market, powers the base model. This unit produces 131 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new Renault Austral 1.2 TCe 11 takes seconds to reach 100 km/h, and it can only get a top speed of 175 km/h, according to the first technical data.
The 1.33 TCe 150 HP version of the Dacia Duster is more expensive but offers more refinement and driving performance for the same price.
Prices start at 35.00 euros for the base model of the Renault Austral 1.2 TCe mild hybrid advanced 131 HP in Europe.
