2024 Renault Clio: A Stylish and Smart Supermini

2024 Renault Clio: A Stylish and Smart Supermini

The 2024 Renault Clio is a supermini that combines style, technology, and efficiency in a compact and affordable package. The Clio is one of the best-selling cars in Europe, and the latest generation aims to keep its popularity with a fresh design, improved performance, and enhanced features.

Design: A Modern and Dynamic Look

The 2024 Renault Clio has a modern and dynamic look that reflects its personality and character. The Clio has a lower and wider stance than the previous model, giving it a more sporty and aggressive appearance. The front end features a large diamond-shaped logo that dominates the grille, flanked by LED headlights with a distinctive C-shaped signature. The rear end has a sculpted tailgate with a chrome strip that connects the LED taillights. The Clio also has a hidden rear door handle, creating a coupe-like silhouette.

The 2024 Renault Clio offers a range of colors and customization options to suit different tastes and preferences. The Clio is available in 10 body colors, including two new ones: Valencia Orange and Celadon Blue. The Clio also has three different roof colors: black, white, or body color. Additionally, the Clio has four different exterior packs: black, red, orange, or blue, which add contrasting accents to the front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, and mirror caps.

Technology: A Smart and Connected Cabin

The 2024 Renault Clio has a smart and connected cabin that offers a high level of comfort, convenience, and safety. The Clio has a digital cockpit that consists of a 9.3-inch touchscreen on the center console and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The touchscreen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing the driver to access their smartphone apps, music, navigation, and messages. The digital instrument cluster can be customized to display different information, such as speed, fuel level, driving mode, or navigation.

The 2024 Renault Clio also has a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that help the driver avoid accidents and enhance driving comfort. Some of these systems include:

  • Adaptive cruise control: This system maintains a safe distance from the vehicle in front and adjusts the speed according to the traffic conditions.
  • Lane-keeping assist: This system warns the driver if they are drifting out of their lane and gently steers them back to the center.
  • Traffic sign recognition: This system detects and displays the speed limit and other traffic signs on the instrument cluster.
  • Blind spot warning: This system alerts the driver if there is a vehicle in their blind spot when changing lanes.
  • Rear cross traffic alert: This system warns the driver if there is a vehicle approaching from behind when reversing out of a parking spot.
  • Automatic emergency braking: This system detects potential collisions with pedestrians or vehicles and applies the brakes if necessary.

Performance: An Efficient and Fun Drive

The 2024 Renault Clio has an efficient and fun drive that delivers both power and economy. The Clio has a range of engines to choose from, including:

  • A 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 65 hp or 75 hp
  • A 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 100 hp
  • A 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 130 hp.
  • A 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine with 85 hp or 115 hp
  • A 1.6-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine with 140 hp

The petrol engines are paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel engines are paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The hybrid engine is paired with an automatic transmission that uses an electric motor to assist the petrol engine.

The 2024 Renault Clio also has three different driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. These modes adjust the engine response, steering feel, and instrument display according to the driver’s preference. The Eco mode optimizes the fuel consumption and reduces the CO2 emissions. The Normal mode provides a balanced performance and comfort. The Sport mode enhances the acceleration and handling for a more dynamic drive.

The 2024 Renault Clio has a fuel consumption of 4.4 to 6.3 liters per 100 km (53 to 37 mpg) and a CO2 emission of 96 to 143 grams per km, depending on the engine and transmission. The hybrid engine has a fuel consumption of 3.6 liters per 100 km (65 mpg) and a CO2 emission of 82 grams per km.

The Clio is available in four different trim levels: Play, Iconic, S Edition, and R.S. Line. Each trim level offers different features and equipment, such as:

  • Play: This is the entry-level trim that includes LED headlights, air conditioning, electric windows, cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition.
  • Iconic: This is the mid-level trim that adds 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and wipers, a leather steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and blind spot warning.
