Audi has been making headlines with its ambitious plans to introduce more than 20 new models, with more than 10 of them being electric, towards 2025. The Audi Q6 e-tron is only the beginning of this grand model offensive in the history of the four rings. The upcoming Q6 e-tron series marks the first-ever electric mobility from Audi's headquarters in Ingolstadt. With the launch of Premium Platform Electric (PPE), Audi emphasizes its commitment to becoming the leading provider of connected, fully electric premium mobility.
Currently, Audi is testing the nearly production-ready Q6 e-tron prototype in northern Europe under strict safety regulations. The future model range comes in both SUV and Sportback body styles and is the first to be built on the new PPE technology platform. This cutting-edge platform comes with an 800-volt electrical system, powerful and efficient electric motors, an innovative battery and charge management system, and a newly developed electronics architecture. With these technological advancements, the Q6 e-tron is the next big step in electrifying and digitalizing Audi's model portfolio.
Audi's success story in 2022 has been built on a strong financial basis, with record results. The Audi Group's Vorsprung 2030 strategy focuses on sustainability and systematically continues the digitization and electrification of its products. The persistent, strong demand for electric vehicles means the share of fully electric vehicles delivered rose from 4.8 percent in the previous year to 7.2 percent, with an increase of around 44 percent in deliveries of fully electric cars (118,196 vehicles).
