The Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team celebrates the Alfa Romeo Tonale

In the color scheme of the two Alfa Romeo ORLEN F1 Team C42 specially created for the Azerbaijan GP, ​​the previous red on the engine cover is replaced by an intense green. Reminiscent of the historic 1970s Alfa Romeo Montreal livery, this green is the official presentation color of the Alfa Romeo Tonale.

The green engine cover also shows a diagonal line and Alfa Romeo's lettering - a reminiscence of the brand's historic racing cars. Directly below, the lettering Tonale refers to the leading into the future. Another graphic element is the distinctive headlight signature of the Alfa Romeo Tonale. It represents a reinterpretation of the triple headlight, as shown on the Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato and the Alfa Romeo Proteo concept vehicle, among others. The same design forms an eye-catching pattern across the entire green area. The famous four-leaf clover, known in Italian as quadrifoglio, also stands out at the diagonal intersection between the green and white spaces.

Green complements the previous primary colors of white and red on the body of the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 racer. The design pays homage to Italy and Alfa Romeo's national colors, deeply ingrained in fans' hearts worldwide. They share their passion with Alfa Romeo daily and on the track, where the brand has already celebrated countless successes. For example, the first two world champions in Formula 1, Nino Farina (1950) and Juan Manuel Fangio (1951), drove for Alfa Romeo.

The new livery of the Formula 1 racer also underlines the vital connection between Alfa Romeo and the Sauber team. In close cooperation, both companies use the know-how from Formula 1 to develop strategic advantages in their respective business areas.
