The first 100% electric Corsa model, the Opel Corsa-e electric car, is available on the market at a starting price of 29,000 euros. The tiny electric car has a battery with a capacity of 50 kWh, which claims a range of 340 kilometers (WLTP). The estimated energy consumption is 17 kWh / 100 km.
The electric motor on the Opel Corsa-e delivers 136 hp and 260 Nm, giving the city model an acceleration time of up to 100 km / h of 8.1 seconds. In the city, Opel Corsa-e electric car is speedy; in just 3.1 seconds, it can reach 50 km / h.
Standard equipment for Opel Corsa-e:
- automatic air conditioning
- keyless start
- 7-inch multimedia system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Front Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection function
- Lane Keep Assist
- Electric Parking Brake (EPB)
- Automatic emergency braking system based on radar sensors (frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and detection of pedestrians and cyclists)
- Driver drowsiness detection system
The road sign recognition system uses a front-facing video camera while the navigation system identifies information, such as LED road signs. The information is then displayed on the screen.
The lane-keeping assistant gradually applies steering adjustments and a slight boost if the vehicle accidentally leaves the lane. The system sends an additional lane departure warning on the driver information display.
The blind-spot monitoring system uses ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers to alert the driver to moving objects in the blind spots on the sides and rear of the vehicle. In addition, a warning symbol lights up on the corresponding exterior mirror.
The adaptive cruise control automatically adjusts the distance to the vehicle in front, decelerating or accelerating depending on the distance selected by the driver. If the car in front decelerates, the Opel Corsa-e electric car slows down accordingly - with automatic transmission and electric propulsion right up to the stop, if necessary. Conversely, if the vehicle in front increases the speed, the Opel Corsa-e electric car accelerates to the selected speed, automatically maintaining the set safety distance.
The new Opel Corsa-e electric car is 4.06 meters long. The coupe-like roofline is 48mm lower than the previous version, without affecting the headroom. As a result, the driver has a 28 mm lower seating position.
The new Opel Corsa-e electric car has a starting price of 29,000 euros, including VAT. The eight-speed automatic transmission dominates the transmission range. The new Corsa also comes with petrol and diesel engines with powers between 55 kW (75 hp) and 96 kW (130 hp).
