The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most popular vehicles in America and for good reasons. It offers a spacious and versatile interior, a smooth and efficient ride, and a host of advanced safety and technology features. For 2024, the RAV4 gets even better with some updates that enhance its style, comfort, and functionality.
New Color Options for the RAV4
One of the most noticeable changes for the 2024 Toyota RAV4 is the addition of a new color option: Army Green. This cool and rugged hue is already available on some of Toyota’s larger trucks and SUVs, such as the Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, and Sequoia. Now, it makes its way to the RAV4's more adventurous trim levels: the Woodland Edition hybrid, the Adventure, and the TRD Off-Road.
The Army Green color is a no-cost option on the Adventure and TRD Off-Road models, but on the Woodland Edition, it requires a $500 option for a two-tone setup with a black roof. The two-tone option is also offered on the Adventure and TRD Off-Road; on those models, you can choose between a white or black roof. You can also pair the Woodland’s Ice Cap exterior color with a black roof.
We think the Army Green color looks great on the RAV4, especially in combination with the Woodland Edition’s bronze 18-inch wheels. It gives the compact SUV a distinctive and adventurous appearance that stands out from the crowd.
More Features for the RAV4 Woodland Edition
The Toyota RAV4 Woodland Edition is a special hybrid model that debuted for the 2023 model year. It combines the efficiency and performance of the RAV4 Hybrid with some exclusive features that make it ready for outdoor exploration. For 2024, the Woodland Edition adds a few more features that enhance its functionality and comfort.
One of the new features is a standard 1¼-inch activity mount that can accommodate a bike rack or a cargo carrier. This allows you to bring more gear and equipment for your camping trips or weekend getaways. The activity mount is in addition to the high-profile black roof rails and standard cross bars that the Woodland Edition already comes with.
Another new feature is an optional Weather Package for $925 that adds heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This package adds some warmth and luxury to the Woodland Edition’s cabin, which is already equipped with SofTex®-trimmed seats, a panoramic moonroof, and a JBL audio system just like the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. The Weather Package also includes rain-sensing variable intermittent windshield wipers with a de-icer function for added convenience and visibility.
The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Woodland Edition also comes with a 120V inverter to power up compatible household items, a dual black chrome-tipped exhaust, black badges and exterior accents, and a donation to the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) from Toyota. The Woodland Edition is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that deliver a combined 219 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined.
Other Updates for the 2024 RAV4
The rest of the 2024 RAV4 lineup receives minor changes, such as slight price increases of a few hundred dollars, depending on the model. The base RAV4 LE now starts at $29,825, the Adventure starts at $36,020, the TRD Off-Road is $39,445, and the hybrid-only Woodland is $36,045. The RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid, which offers 302 horsepower and 42 miles of electric range, is still available in the SE and XSE trims, starting at $44,440 for 2023.
All new RAV4 models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, a suite of driver assistance features that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. They also come standard with the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system, which features an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM, and Wi-Fi hotspot compatibility.
The new RAV4 models are expected to arrive at Toyota dealerships later this year. If you’re looking for a compact SUV that offers style, versatility, and value, the RAV4 is a great choice. And with the new color options and features for 2024, it’s even more appealing than before.
