Samsung announces the global launch of their new robot vacuum cleaner, Jet Bot AI +. The robot vacuum cleaner was presented for the first time at CES 2021 and is an excellent example of Samsung's leading position in offering users innovative and intelligent solutions that optimize cleaning at home.
The Jet Bot 90 AI + reflects Samsung's ongoing dedication to creating innovative products that offer dynamic performance that adapts to users' different needs. Samsung is delighted to introduce a robot vacuum cleaner that comes with technology for object detection and will enable users to wash both more intelligently and efficiently.
The Jet Bot 90 AI + is the world's first robot vacuum cleaner to come with an active 3D sensor, which scans an area to find complex objects to detect. The vacuum cleaner's 3D depth camera is equivalent to a 256,000 distance sensor and can easily see obstacles as small as 1 cm. The object detection technology thus prevents the robot vacuum cleaner from getting stuck.
The robot vacuum cleaner is also the world's first vacuum cleaner equipped with Intel AI solution, enhancing Jet AI object detection technology. The intelligent solution allows the robot to recognize different devices and furniture. In addition, the robot's wise decision ensures that it cleans near things like children's toys while keeping a safe distance from sensitive objects such as vases.
The Jet Bot 90 AI + is equipped with a LiDAR sensor that calculates the location accurately to optimize the cleaning path by repeatedly scanning the room to collect distance information. This technology works well in rooms with low light or under furniture.
With advanced technology, the user can clean the house thoroughly. The Jet Bot 90 AI +'s inverter motor maximizes the suction power for deeper cleaning. And with the Intelligent Power Control function, the new robotic vacuum cleaner can even identify the type of surface it is to clean and the amount of dust on it. Utilizing this information, the unit can automatically adjust the suction power for more optimized cleaning.
The Jet Bot 90 AI + also comes with several hygiene-related functions that enable easy cleaning while ensuring that the dust is collected and not released into the air. For example, a 5-layer filtration system captures 99.99% of micro-dust and particles in size 0.5 ~ 4.2 µm that is quickly released. In addition, all parts and filters are washable, so they can be kept hygienic.
The Jet Bot 90 AI + has a built-in Clean Station that collects dirt and hair in a 2.5-litre dust bag. Clean Station only needs to be replaced every three months.
Users can control and monitor Jet Bot 90 AI + remotely using the SmartThings app on smartphones. The cleaning can be performed selectively in a single room, or several rooms with the Select & Go function. The app can define virtual no-go zones to prevent the device from entering specific areas without physical barriers. The smart robot also offers Bixby voice recognition features.
