The 2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Performance is now available to order in the UK. This rear-wheel-drive electric executive fastback offers a WLTP-estimated range of up to 463 miles, class-leading aerodynamics, and a sleek, practical silhouette aimed at business users and long-distance drivers alike.

Rear-Wheel Drive and 380PS: Efficiency Meets Agility

Unlike its quattro siblings, the A6 Sportback e-tron Performance uses a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. It produces:

  • 380 PS (374 hp) with launch control
  • Maximum torque delivered instantly
  • 0–62 mph in 5.4 seconds

The design prioritizes smooth, efficient cruising over brute acceleration. It’s tuned for long-range comfort and rear-driven balance, with precise torque mapping that favors predictable cornering.

Battery and Range: Best-in-Class Efficiency

The A6 Sportback e-tron Performance features Audi's new 94.9 kWh net battery, part of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) shared with the Q6 e-tron.

Key benefits:

  • Up to 463 miles WLTP-certified range (depending on spec)
  • 800-volt architecture for stable thermal management
  • Fast recharge: 192 miles added in 10 minutes
  • 10% to 80% in 21 minutes at max DC power

Thanks to active thermal controls, recuperation at up to 220 kW, and smart route planning, the A6 e-tron can manage daily commutes and long-distance trips with minimal downtime.

Most Aerodynamic Audi Ever Made

The A6 Sportback e-tron Performance sets a new benchmark in drag reduction:

  • Cd: 0.21, the lowest of any Audi ever made
  • Smooth underbody, sealed grille, and air curtains reduce drag
  • Helps stretch range without increasing battery size

Aerodynamics are not just for show. Combined with the rear-drive layout, they allow the A6 to deliver more range per kWh than most competitors.

Interior: Quiet, Digital, and Comfortable

The A6 e-tron Performance keeps the cabin clean, high-tech, and silent:

  • Audi Virtual Cockpit (11.9") and MMI touchscreen (14.5")
  • Twin Leather seats with heating
  • Softwrap dashboard with sustainable finishes
  • Ambient lighting (Edition 1 trims)
  • Panoramic curved display with Audi’s new voice assistant

The infotainment system runs Android Automotive OS. Updates happen over the air, and apps like Spotify or YouTube are built-in via the Audi App Store.

Standard features include:

  • Wireless smartphone interface
  • MMI navigation plus
  • Audi Connect services
  • Optional Augmented Reality Head-Up Display

Charging Speed and Thermal Efficiency

The A6 Sportback e-tron uses Audi’s latest 800-volt PPE platform:

  • Max DC charging: 270 kW
  • Gains 80% capacity in just 21 minutes
  • Adds ~192 miles in a 10-minute session

It includes:

  • Advanced recuperation system (active in 95% of braking)
  • Heat pump that captures motor heat to warm the cabin
  • Efficiency mode that lowers ride height to reduce drag

All of this extends range without sacrificing performance.

Comfort and Ride Quality

Suspension setup:

  • Five-link design front and rear
  • Passive damping for balance and composure
  • Smooth ride on 20-inch wheels (standard on Sport trim)
  • Near-silent cabin with acoustic glazing for front glass

Although the S6 uses air suspension, the A6 Sportback e-tron Performance still delivers well-damped control and minimal road noise on highways.

Trim Levels: Sport, S line, and Edition 1

Three trims are available at launch:

  1. Sport
    • 20-inch alloys
    • High-performance LEDs
    • Acoustic glass
    • Powered tailgate
    • Twin Leather upholstery
  2. S line
    • S-style bumpers
    • Black headliner
    • S-embossed sports seats
    • Privacy glass
  3. Edition 1
    • 21-inch alloys
    • Matrix LED headlamps
    • Ventilated Super Sport seats
    • Passenger touchscreen display
    • Adaptive Cruise Assist Plus
    • Red brake calipers + styling upgrades

Optional Packs

  • Sound & Vision Pack Pro ($6,950):
Adds smart-glass panoramic sunroof and virtual exterior mirrors with OLED interior screens
