The New Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire: Luxurious and Spacious Minivans with Hybrid Power

The New Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire: Luxurious and Spacious Minivans with Hybrid Power

Toyota has introduced the new Alphard and Vellfire, two minivans that offer luxury and space for families and business travelers. The new Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire feature a refined and elegant design, a roomy and comfortable interior, advanced safety and convenience features, and a hybrid powertrain option.

The new Alphard and Vellfire are based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, which provides a lower center of gravity, improved stability and handling, and reduced noise and vibration. The minivans have a distinctive exterior, with a large chrome grille, LED headlights and taillights, a power sliding door, and a power back door. The new Alphard and Vellfire also offer a choice of colors, including two-tone options.

The interior of the new Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire is spacious and luxurious, with a three-row seating configuration that can accommodate up to seven or eight passengers. The minivans also feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 9-inch rear seat entertainment system with HDMI input and wireless headphones, a 14-speaker JBL sound system, a wireless smartphone charger, a panoramic view monitor, and a color head-up display. The minivans also offer a high level of comfort and convenience, with features such as leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable second-row captain seats with ottoman, third-row seats with one-touch folding function, ambient lighting, and a sunroof.

The new Alphard and Vellfire are equipped with a range of advanced driver assistance systems, such as Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, road sign assist, automatic high beam, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, parking support brake, and rear seat reminder. The minivans also feature Toyota Teammate Advanced Park, which allows the driver to park the vehicle remotely using a smartphone app.

The new Alphard and Vellfire are available with two powertrain options: a hybrid variant and a gasoline variant. The hybrid variant consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors and a nickel-metal hydride battery pack. The hybrid variant produces a combined output of 178 horsepower and has a fuel consumption of 19.4 km/L (WLTC mode). The gasoline variant is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 296 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The gasoline variant has a fuel consumption of 9.5 km/L (WLTC mode).

The new Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire are offered in four grades: X, G, SR, and Executive Lounge. The X grade includes features such as dual-zone climate control, fabric upholstery, a power sliding door on the left side only, a power back door with kick sensor, LED headlights with auto leveling function, LED fog lights, LED rear combination lights, alloy wheels, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, Toyota Teammate Advanced Park (hybrid only), and rear seat reminder. The G grade adds features such as tri-zone climate control, leather upholstery, heated front seats, power sliding doors on both sides, power-adjustable second-row seats with ottoman (seven-seater only), LED headlights with adaptive high beam assist, LED rear combination lights with sequential turn signal, alloy wheels with noise-reducing resin, and a 9-inch rear seat entertainment system. The SR grade adds features such as ventilated front seats, power-adjustable second-row captain seats with ottoman and side table (seven-seater only), third-row seats with one-touch folding function, panoramic view monitor, color head-up display, 14-speaker JBL sound system, wireless smartphone charger, sunroof, and larger alloy wheels. The Executive Lounge grade adds features such as quilted leather upholstery, woodgrain and silver interior trim, heated and ventilated second-row captain seats with massage function (seven-seater only), ambient lighting, and a rear cooler box.
