Polestar, the Swedish electric car company, is one of the partners for the third edition of the Fjord Oslo light art festival. The festival, which takes place from the 3rd to the 6th of November, is a celebration of light through art, with works ranging from projections on buildings and immersive installations to site-specific light sculptures and exciting video art.
Anastasia Isachsen, creative director and founder of Fjord Oslo, adds, "We hope people will have a fantastic experience."
This year's festival has light artists from ten different countries.
"We exhibit the best of modern international light art and encourage you to a fantastic experience of wonder and introspection," adds Anastasia, a visual artist herself.
Anastasia and Frank Isachsen organized Fjord Oslo for the first time in 2019.
Polestar is a new partner this year, presenting the work PERSPECTIVE by festival founder Anastasia Isachsen. PERSPECTIVE is one of the artworks on the show this weekend along Oslo's port front.
"Light is crucial in Polestar's work with design, innovation, and safety, from small pixels and pure lines of light to safety precautions in the cars," says Alexander Hrthe, general manager of Polestar Norway.
PERSPECTIVE incorporates shifting light and fog, translucent glass, transitory engravings, and an ambient soundscape.
PERSPECTIVE is an encompassing space in which nature, technology, and people collaborate to create a dreamy and futuristic experience that inspires an engaged meditation on our shared future, according to the artist.
Fjord Oslo had 150,000 visitors last year. This year, the same numbers are projected.
