The 2025 Skoda Elroq is set to be a landmark vehicle in Skoda's growing electric vehicle (EV) portfolio. Positioned as a compact all-electric SUV, it will serve as the electric alternative to the ICE-powered Skoda Karoq, providing modern mobility solutions with a range of up to 560 km and an innovative design ethos that focuses on sustainability, technology, and comfort.
Exterior Design: The Evolution of Skoda’s Design Language
The Skoda Elroq adopts the brand’s new Modern Solid design language, first introduced in the Vision 7S concept. Its most distinguishing feature is the Tech-Deck Face, a wide black panel replacing Skoda’s traditional butterfly grille, paired with segmented LED daytime running lights and sleek headlamps integrated into the bumper. With a drag coefficient of 0.26, the Elroq boasts superior aerodynamics, which is critical for enhancing energy efficiency and extending driving range. Its angular bodywork and clean lines further emphasize Skoda's dedication to both function and form, giving the vehicle a strong road presence.
Key elements of the exterior include:
- Four-eye LED headlamp graphic for a modern look.
- Plastic cladding on the front bumper for a rugged aesthetic.
- Dual-tone rear bumper with Skoda lettering on both the tailgate and bonnet.
Interior: Spacious, Smart, and Sustainable
The cabin of the Skoda Elroq is designed to offer spaciousness, practicality, and comfort for both urban and adventure driving. The interior materials are sustainably sourced, featuring recycled PET bottles and nylon from fishing nets, contributing to the vehicle's eco-friendly credentials.
Key interior features:
- 13-inch central infotainment system with an intuitive user interface.
- Multiple smart in-cabin storage compartments, offering up to 48 liters of space.
- 470-liter boot capacity, expandable to 1,580 liters with the rear seats folded.
- Sleek digital instrument cluster and physical controls for drive modes, climate, and other features.
Moreover, Skoda has integrated its signature Simply Clever solutions, including practical storage features for everyday needs and safety, and up to nine airbags for enhanced passenger protection.
Powertrain Options: Efficiency Meets Performance
The 2025 Skoda Elroq electric SUV is underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s MEB architecture, which supports three powertrain options:
- Skoda Elroq 50: 125 kW (170 hp) with a 52 kWh battery and a range of over 370 km.
- Skoda Elroq 60: 150 kW (204 hp) with a 59 kWh battery and a range of over 385 km.
- Skoda Elroq 85: 210 kW (285 hp) with a larger 77 kWh battery, providing the highest range of 560 km.
The top-tier Elroq 85 also supports all-wheel drive via an additional motor on the front axle, delivering excellent grip and stability on different terrains. This model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 180 km/h.
