Live Your Best Van Life: A Hands-On Look at the Clever & Comfy Citroen Type H Camper

Citroen Type H camper van

The recently unveiled Citroen Type H marks a stylish new entry in the rapidly growing camper van market. With its eye-catching design and focus on comfort, the Citroen Type H aims to make modular van life more accessible.

A Fresh Take on Camper Van Living

Traditionally, camper vans conjure images of rugged, spartan vehicles with basic amenities. However, Citroen Type H flips the script, offering a hip, design-focused take on camper living.

At the heart of the Citroen Type Holidays is a focus on modularity and flexibility. The interior can quickly convert from daytime seating to an overnight sleeping space. The expandable top-hinged tailgate and sliding side door provide easy access. The available pop-up roof extension creates a cozy sleeping alcove while retaining a standing room inside.

Style That Stands Out

In terms of styling, the Citroen Type Holidays makes a bold statement with its two-tone khaki green and black exterior accented by orange detailing. The front fascia features Citroën’s signature LED daytime running lights integrated into a black cross graphic.

Large 17” alloy wheels coupled with black wheel arch extensions give the Type H a rugged look. Yet, stylish touches like front and rear skid plates maintain its urban appeal. It straddles the line between an everyday vehicle and an adventure-ready camper.

A Focus on Comfort

While most camper vans prioritize functionality over comfort, Citroen emphasizes creature comforts. Front seats can swivel 180° to face the spacious rear bench, creating a lounge-like environment. The bench folds down into a generously sized bed measuring nearly 6’ long.

For overnighting, the pop-up roof extension provides a cozy second sleeping space. This modular design means the Type H can readily transform to meet different needs. USB ports, as well as 230V and 12V sockets, allow occupants to stay powered up.

Packed With Clever Features

Part of the appeal of the Citroen Type H camper is its array of clever features. The rear bench, for instance, has integrated storage bins accessible by lifting the seat cushions. A small pull-out table also folds out from the bench.

The kitchen unit behind the front seats packs a lot into a compact space. It contains a sink, storage cubbies, a gas burner stove, and a 42L compressor fridge. Small touches like an integrated paper towel holder and spice rack make cooking on the go easier.

For added convenience, the pop-up roof houses an available 100W solar panel. This lets occupants tap into renewable energy to power devices and accessories. And swiveling front seats mean the kitchen can be accessed both inside and out.

Built for Adventure

The Type H leans into Citroën’s legacy of rugged off-road vehicles. Its Modutop modular roof can support carrying bikes, skis, or other gear. The Grip Control system optimizes traction on loose or slippery surfaces. A high ride height coupled with short front and rear overhangs improve its off-road agility.

Under the hood, the Type H packs a powerful yet efficient BlueHDi 110 diesel engine. This provides a 3,500 lb towing capacity, allowing you to bring toys like ATVs along. The 8-speed automatic transmission makes cruising the highway smooth and quiet.

An Affordable Home on Wheels

The Citroen Type H hits a sweet spot with camper van ownership surging. Its starting MSRP of around $35,000 makes modular living surprisingly affordable. That’s thousands less than larger, full-featured camper vans.

Yet it retains the freedom of van life, allowing you to chase adventures. And it offers unique styling that lets you stand out from a sea of generic white vans. For anyone looking to escape the rat race and hit the open road, the Type H is worthy of a close look.

Escape the Daily Grind

The Citroen Type H camper van isn’t just a vehicle – it’s an opportunity to live life to the fullest. Its versatile interior transforms from an everyday driver to a cozy home. This grants the freedom to roam to wherever your heart desires.

Wake up each morning to golden hour light filtering through the panoramic pop-up roof. Brew a cup of coffee as you gaze out over stunning vistas. Spend your days exploring backcountry trails before unwinding under a blanket of stars. This is the promise of the van life dream.

Prioritize What Matters Most

The Citroen Type H represents a chance to step back and ask yourself what really matters. Escape the vicious cycle of working to pay off a mortgage for a home you barely live in. Instead, invest in creating memories of bucket list adventures.

Each new day presents a world of possibilities. Immerse yourself in stunning landscapes from coastlines to canyons that satiate your sense of wonder. Pursue outdoor challenges that get your adrenaline pumping. Or simply unplug from the constant bombardment of digital noise. The choice is yours.

A New Outlook on Life

Adopting a minimalist mindset gives opportunities to reflect on your priorities and values. Do you really need to be shackled to so many material possessions? Or would you be happier owning less but experiencing more?

The Citroen Type H camper van embodies this outlook. Its compact yet efficient layout shows how you can thrive with just the essentials. Now, you can focus your time and energy on the aspects of life that truly bring meaning and fulfillment.

Final Thoughts

For those feeling stuck in the grind of daily life, the Citroen Type Holidays represent a chance to rediscover freedom. Embrace minimalism. Get back to nature. Focus on experiences over stuff. Stop dreaming and start exploring. This camper van opens the door to adventure with its style, comfort, and modularity blend. Seize the chance to define life on your own terms.
