Explore the New 2024 Dacia Spring: Upgrades and Innovations

Dacia introduces the new all-electric Spring, a vehicle that is now more appealing than ever. With a brand-new exterior and interior design, enhanced agility and easy handling, and the best loading capacity in its segment, this car continues to set the standard for affordable electric mobility. The customizable digital dashboard and multimedia central screen make it more digital than ever, while its versatile engines (65 hp and 45 hp) ensure it remains as efficient and affordable as always.

Dacia’s first all-electric model, the Spring, has made zero-emission mobility accessible to a wide customer base. First launched in 2021, it was the third most sold electric car to individuals in 2022 and 2023, with over 150,000 units registered worldwide. The Spring has received numerous awards, particularly for its energy efficiency and low carbon footprint, earning a maximum 5-star rating from the European organization Green NCAP in 2022.

The 2024 Dacia Spring electric car appeals to those seeking simple, affordable, and efficient zero-emission mobility. Data from the vehicle’s on-board systems shows an average daily trip of 37 km at a speed of 37 km/h, with 75% of recharging done at home. The new Dacia Spring continues to evolve, featuring a new brand identity and more powerful engines while maintaining its position as the most affordable full-electric car on the market.

A MORE ROBUST, MORE ‘DACIA’ DESIGN

Dacia's new design language, first seen on the latest generation of Duster, gives the 2024 Dacia Spring a robust and assertive style. The exterior has been completely overhauled, except for the roof, to enhance its appeal. David Durand, VP of Dacia Design, emphasizes that the Spring’s new design language asserts its identity within the Dacia family.

Exterior Design: Solid, Modern, Smart

The highly structured volumes of Dacia’s new design style give the Spring a powerful look, featuring a clean, simple silhouette with a highly sculpted hood. The new design includes two black bands with a glossy finish and matte stripes at the rear, framed by the brand’s iconic Y-shaped light signature with full-LED daytime running lights and parking lights.

The modern design is complemented by contemporary stickers on the bumpers of the Extreme trim, and 15-inch wheels with highly crafted hubcaps. The Dacia Spring also features practical, durable designs like lower-door side protections that are light, affordable, and easy to replace, and the removal of decorative chrome parts for better aerodynamics and range improvement. The car is available in six shades, including new Beige Safari and Brick Red.

Interior Design: Fresh, Practical, Digital

The dashboard incorporates Dacia’s new interior design language with a horizontal architecture and a range of digital screens. All versions feature a customizable digital dashboard with a 7-inch display, and upmarket models boast a 10-inch multimedia central display. The interior materials and color palette have been reworked to offer superior quality while reducing options to manage costs better.

The interior design includes full-body white elements for a fresh, modular atmosphere, with specific accents varying by trim. The large multimedia touch screen is positioned for optimal ergonomics, and the customizable digital dashboard provides intuitive access to essential information.

The Dacia Spring features innovative YouClip accessory mounts for practical and robust attachment of various accessories. The Extreme trim includes unique design elements like sturdy rubber floor mats and topographic line designs on the door sills.

DYNAMIC AND AGILE: EASY HANDLING AND IMPROVED ROAD PERFORMANCE

The Dacia Spring offers a more ergonomic driving position and improved ride with several upgrades:

  • A new steering wheel for better grip and control access.
  • A height-adjustable steering column for ergonomic design.
  • Retuned electric power steering for precise feedback.
  • New 15" wheels (standard with the Extreme finish) for a better ride.

The Dacia Spring introduces a new B (Brake) mode for stronger regenerative braking. In D mode, energy from braking is recovered and stored, while B mode maximizes regeneration.

AFFORDABLE AND PRACTICAL ELECTRIC MOBILITY

The Dacia Spring remains true to its concept as the most affordable electric car on the market. It offers the best storage capacity in its category with 308 liters (+6% compared to the previous model) and up to 1,004 liters with rear seats folded. Additional storage includes a double glove box and door bins, totaling nearly 33 liters.

The car also features smart, practical accessories like a bin under the front bonnet for an extra 35 liters of storage and a central console that fits an exclusive cup holder made with 3D-printing technology. The Dacia Spring supports YouClip accessories for practical attachment inside the car.

Every Dacia Spring comes with a customizable digital dashboard with a 7-inch display, showing essential information and customizable options like remaining range and energy consumption. Enhanced connectivity includes Media Control on Essential and Expression trims and the Media Nav Live system on the Extreme trim, offering real-time navigation and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM.

ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES

The 2024 Dacia Spring meets the latest European safety standards with advanced ADAS, including emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, rear park assist, lane keeping assist, and more. The ‘My Safety’ button provides quick access to preferred ADAS settings.

READY FOR ALL TERRAINS

With solid-color protection strips and high ground clearance, the Dacia Spring is built to withstand daily wear and tear and handle rough terrains. It offers a more affordable 65 hp engine on a wider range of trims, delivering dynamic acceleration suitable for urban use. The 45 hp engine is available on Essential and Expression trims.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND EFFICIENT

The Dacia Spring is designed to be lightweight, weighing less than a tonne, making it the only full-electric car in Europe under this weight. The car boasts excellent energy use at 13.5kWh/100km for the 65hp version and 14.1kWh/100km for the 45hp version, ensuring low running costs. The compact 26.8 kWh battery is calibrated for daily needs, offering a range of 225 km, suitable for average daily travel of 37km.

The 2024 Dacia Spring features a regenerative braking system activated by selecting the ‘B-mode’ via the new gearbox controls. Charging is convenient with a 7 kW AC charger for home use and an optional 30 kW DC charger for fast charging.

INNOVATIVE AND PRACTICAL FEATURES

The Dacia Spring now features a bidirectional charger (standard on Dacia Spring Extreme Trim) for powering electrical devices, ideal for outdoor activities. The car is available in three trims: Essential, Expression, and Extreme, each offering a range of features to meet various needs.

The new Dacia Spring is set to launch in summer 2024, including a right-hand drive version for the UK market. It remains the most affordable, practical, and efficient electric car, encouraging more European motorists to transition to zero-emission mobility.
