The ID.3 was named Car of the Year in Denmark in 2021, praised for its spacious interior, state-of-the-art technologies, and good driving characteristics. With the introduction of the new facelifted ID.3, Volkswagen is aiming to take the experience of the popular, compact electric family car to a new level.
The redesigned front bumper gives the ID.3 a more dynamic appearance, making it look wider with vertical air intakes out on each side. The front hood now appears longer, and the black design element under the windshield has been removed. The 2023 Volkswagen ID.3 has sharp contours with a more striking appearance, showing that Volkswagen can refine the iconic design expression of the ID family. The back of the car features a more distinctive light signature where the light in the rear lights now runs all the way into the black tailgate.
The interior of the new ID.3 has received a thorough update based on customer feedback. The instrument panel is now covered in artificial leather with stitching in a contrasting color, while the door trim has been redesigned and equipped with softer materials, resulting in improved perceived quality. All materials used in the interior are animal-free, and recycled materials have been used extensively. The ID.3 is also equipped with the latest generation of ID. software, which has improved system performance and the possibility of over-the-air updates.
