2026 Acura Integra Refresh Boosts Tech and Keeps Manual Transmission Advantage

2026 Acura Integra Refresh Targets Segment Leadership with Tech, Design, and Driving Engagement

Acura Doubles Down on What Works

Acura's 2026 Integra refresh builds directly on the momentum of a model that already controls over 40% of premium compact sedan retail sales in the U.S. It does so by sharpening focus where it counts: tech, design, and driver engagement.

This isn't a complete redesign. It's a strategic update timed to celebrate 40 years of Integra and maintain the model’s status as the youngest-buyer magnet in the segment.

Key Upgrades for 2026 Acura Integra

  • Standard 9-inch touchscreen (up from 7 inches).
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included across all trims.
  • Wireless charging now standard.
  • A-Spec trim adds black 18-inch wheels, new aero body kit, and interior enhancements.
  • Three new exterior colors plus color-matched grille options.
  • Enhanced ambient lighting in A-Spec models.
  • Available 6-speed manual transmission remains a standout.

Exterior Changes: Visuals Built for Appeal

Design changes are minimal but targeted. New Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, and Double Apex Blue Pearl paint options update the palette. The Double Apex Blue, first seen on the ZDX Type S, now becomes available on the Integra along with a color-matched grille, giving it a unified look. Black grille options remain standard across most other colors.

The A-Spec variant adds visual edge with gloss-black side spoilers and a sleeker side sill garnish. These additions sharpen aerodynamics while improving showroom appeal.

Interior: More Tech, Same Purpose

The 2026 Integra makes a smart move by bundling all the most-used tech features into its standard configuration. Every trim now includes:

  • A 9-inch touchscreen with a faster processor.
  • Wireless smartphone integration (Apple and Android).
  • Wireless phone charger.

Buyers of the A-Spec with Technology Package gain extras like:

  • 5.3-inch Head-Up Display (HUD).
  • Alexa Built-In.
  • 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D audio system with roof-mounted speakers.

Ambient lighting expands in A-Spec models, and interior trims see minor updates depending on upholstery selection. Blue micro suede inserts show up in Orchid interiors, while yellow contrast stitching appears in Ebony variants.

Engine and Drivetrain: What Matters Stays

Acura leaves the powertrain untouched, which is the right call. At the heart of the 2026 Integra is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, good for:

  • 200 horsepower at 6,000 rpm
  • 192 lb.-ft. of torque between 1,800–5,000 rpm

Transmission options:

Transmission TypeAvailabilityNotable Features
CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)StandardStep-Shift logic, quick throttle response
6-Speed ManualOptional (A-Spec)Short throws, auto rev-matching, LSD

The manual transmission remains a unique offering in this class. It pairs with a helical limited-slip differential to manage corner-exit traction—something lacking in most CVT-only competitors.

Driving Modes and Suspension

All trims feature Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System, offering:

  • Comfort
  • Normal
  • Sport

A-Spec with Tech Package adds:

  • Individual mode customization
  • Adaptive Damper System (ADS) for sharper control of ride and handling

This flexibility makes the Integra one of the most tunable cars in its class without stepping into luxury price territory.

Handling and Structure

  • Independent suspension at all four corners
  • Ultra-rigid body structure
  • Variable-ratio steering
  • Performance brakes

These choices directly impact daily usability and driver engagement. Few other compact sedans combine this level of handling refinement and ride comfort for under $40,000.

Interior Packaging and Comfort

Acura didn’t alter the core interior layout, which already outpaces rivals. Key features:

  • 5-door liftback configuration
  • Generous rear seat legroom
  • 60/40 split-folding rear seats

Materials continue to strike a balance between tactile quality and cost control. Heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and 8-way driver seat adjustment are standard. The Technology Package adds 12-way power and microsuede inserts.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2026 Integra carries over a full suite of standard active and passive safety features:

  • AcuraWatch system includes:
    • Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS)
    • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
    • Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS)
    • Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
    • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • Blind Spot Information System
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Monitor

Higher trims get Low-Speed Braking Control, front and rear parking sensors, and enhanced driver alerts. The model retains a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a 5-Star NHTSA rating.

Build and Manufacturing

The Integra continues to be built in Marysville, Ohio, using both domestic and globally sourced parts. Its engine is assembled at Anna Engine Plant in Ohio, the same facility that builds the Type S Turbo V6 used in higher-end Acura models.

This commitment to domestic production places Acura Integra consistently on Cars.com's Top 20 American-Made Index, making it one of the most U.S.-built premium cars in its segment.

Market Positioning

Acura doesn't hide where Integra stands:

  • Top-selling model in the premium compact sedan segment
  • Best conquest rate of any Acura product
  • Youngest buyer demographic in the class

These figures back Acura's decision to invest in feature-focused updates rather than a platform overhaul.

Price and Trim Strategy

While pricing hasn’t been officially announced yet, expect base models to start around $33,000 USD with A-Spec variants landing closer to $38,000 USD depending on configuration. Acura’s decision to bundle high-demand tech features into base models will improve perceived value and transaction prices.

Final Take: Targeted, Logical, and Competitive

The 2026 Acura Integra doesn't waste effort chasing trends. Instead, it refines what already works:

  • Engaging driving dynamics
  • High-value tech upgrades
  • Segment-exclusive manual transmission
  • Efficient manufacturing strategy

Buyers looking for a compact premium sport sedan that delivers strong daily performance without high running costs will find the Integra remains the most rational choice in the segment.
