2026 Infiniti QX60 Adds Sport Trim and Klipsch Audio in a Three-Row SUV

2026 Infiniti QX60 Adds Sport Trim and Klipsch Audio in a Three-Row SUV

The 2026 Infiniti QX60 brings targeted updates to a key model in Infiniti’s lineup. First introduced as a redesigned model in 2022, the QX60 now receives mid-cycle updates designed to better align it with modern consumer expectations in the competitive midsize luxury SUV segment. The updates address both visual appeal and functionality, introducing a more assertive exterior, enhanced cabin technology, and a new Sport trim to reach buyers seeking a bolder option.

Infiniti continues to position the QX60 as its top-volume SUV, and the 2026 refresh supports that mission. With the addition of Google built-in, updated interior materials, and the introduction of a Klipsch-branded premium audio system, the QX60 is now better prepared to compete with segment leaders like the Lexus RX, Acura MDX, and BMW X5.

Exterior Enhancements

The 2026 QX60 features subtle but impactful styling revisions that increase visual distinction while remaining loyal to Infiniti’s design DNA. Updates to the front fascia include a taller grille with new vertical slats, replacing the previous horizontal mesh. The LED daytime running lights are reshaped and slightly slimmer, while the headlight housings adopt a smoked finish on upper trims.

Infiniti also revised the lower front and rear bumpers for better definition. These updates give the SUV a lower and wider look, which enhances its on-road presence without altering dimensions. Wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches depending on trim, with the new Sport trim introducing a black 20-inch alloy wheel design unique to the lineup.

Additional changes include:

  • New exterior paint options: Baja Storm and Moonbow Blue.
  • Redesigned taillights with a sharper internal LED signature.
  • Gloss black mirror caps and roof rails on Luxe and Sport trims.
  • Blacked-out chrome accents on the Sport trim.

Interior and Technology

Inside, Infiniti focused on materials, technology, and user interface updates to enhance cabin appeal. Dual 12.3-inch displays now come standard across the range. One serves as a fully digital instrument cluster, while the other is a center-mounted infotainment display powered by Google built-in.

Key interior updates include:

  • Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play are natively integrated, eliminating the need for smartphone mirroring.
  • New USB-C ports in all three rows.
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto continue to be standard.

Infiniti has also added TailorFit imitation leather on Pure and Luxe trims. Made of 65% recycled materials, this synthetic option caters to eco-conscious buyers without sacrificing durability or visual quality. Luxe trims can also be optioned with semi-aniline leather, while Autograph models retain quilted genuine leather with open-pore ash wood and laser-etched metal accents.

The new Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio system replaces the outgoing Bose system. It brings:

  • 16 speakers on Luxe and Sport trims.
  • A 20-speaker system with headrest speakers and Individual Audio Zones on the Autograph trim.
  • Audio isolation for the driver, allowing navigation prompts and calls without disturbing passengers.

Cabin layout highlights:

  • Second-row captain's chairs standard on Autograph, optional on Luxe.
  • A new electronic gear selector frees up space in the center console.
  • Improved insulation and laminated glass reduce cabin noise.

Performance and Powertrain

The QX60 remains powered by a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline-four engine. This variable-compression turbocharged engine adapts its compression ratio on demand, balancing power output and fuel economy in real-time. It delivers:

  • 268 horsepower
  • 280 lb-ft of torque
  • 9-speed automatic transmission

Infiniti dropped the previous 3.5-liter V6 from the QX60 in 2023 to focus on efficiency. While some rivals still offer six-cylinder options, Infiniti’s engine strategy prioritizes consistency, weight reduction, and regulatory compliance.

Drivetrain configurations:

  • FWD is standard on Pure and Luxe.
  • AWD is optional on Luxe.
  • AWD is standard on Sport and Autograph.

Driving stats and expectations:

  • Estimated 0–60 mph time: 7.1 seconds.
  • Maximum towing capacity: 6,000 lbs with available towing package.
  • Estimated combined fuel economy: 24 mpg.

The suspension remains unchanged but benefits from updated shock absorber tuning, delivering a more composed ride across broken pavement and high-speed corners.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2026 QX60 brings key upgrades in active safety. For the first time, ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is offered on the top-tier Autograph trim. This system enables hands-free driving on pre-mapped highways, using a combination of LiDAR-like sensors, GPS, and a driver attention monitor.

Standard safety features on all trims include:

  • ProPILOT Assist with adaptive cruise control and lane-centering.
  • Forward collision warning with pedestrian detection.
  • Automatic emergency braking.
  • Rear automatic braking and cross-traffic alert.

Available safety technologies include:

  • 3D Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
  • Intersection Assist, which detects oncoming vehicles during left turns.
  • Invisible Hood View, which simulates a bird’s-eye perspective to improve low-speed visibility.

These systems collectively position the QX60 among the top safety contenders in its class, along with competitors like the Volvo XC90 and Acura MDX.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The 2026 QX60 will be offered in four trims:

TrimKey FeaturesEstimated MSRP (USD)
PureTailorFit upholstery, dual 12.3-inch screens, Google built-in, FWD$52,000
LuxeSemi-aniline leather, 16-speaker Klipsch, optional AWD, panoramic sunroof$57,000

Expect these trims to arrive at U.S. dealerships by Q3 2025. Official EPA fuel economy ratings and final pricing will be confirmed closer to the launch date.

Final Take

The 2026 Infiniti QX60 reflects a strategic, data-informed refresh. Rather than a full redesign, Infiniti focused on refining the areas most important to today’s midsize luxury SUV buyers: technology, material sustainability, audio experience, and exterior styling. While the powertrain remains the same, the rest of the package shows thoughtful evolution that should help Infiniti maintain relevance in an increasingly saturated segment.

Infiniti’s attention to passenger comfort, digital features, and intelligent safety systems positions the QX60 as a strong alternative to German and Japanese rivals. With rising consumer interest in three-row premium SUVs, the updated QX60 arrives at the right time—and in the right spec—for modern families.
