The Peugeot e-Traveller Allure: A Smart Electric Van Made for Transport Professionals

Peugeot e-Traveller Allure

The Peugeot e-Traveller is a versatile electric van that can accommodate up to nine passengers or a large cargo volume. It offers a range of up to 211 miles, fast charging capability, and a host of advanced features to make traveling easier and more comfortable. The e-Traveller is available in three trim levels: Active, Allure, and Business. In this article, we will focus on the Allure version, which is designed for transport professionals who need a spacious, reliable, and eco-friendly vehicle.

What makes the Peugeot e-Traveller Allure stand out?

The Peugeot e-Traveller Allure is a medium-sized electric van that combines practicality and style. Its sleek and modern exterior has LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers, mirrors, and door handles. It also comes with a hands-free sliding side door, which can be opened and closed by waving your foot under the rear bumper. This is very convenient when you have your hands full or need to load or unload passengers quickly.

The interior of the E-Traveller Allure is spacious and comfortable, with a modular seating layout that can be configured to suit your needs. You can choose between five, six, seven, eight, or nine seats, depending on the length of the vehicle. The seats are upholstered in leather and fabric and can be folded, removed, or slid to create more space. The E-Traveller Allure also has a panoramic glass roof, which lets in natural light and enhances the sense of space. The roof can be covered with an electric blind if you prefer more privacy or shade.

The Peugeot e-Traveller Allure is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can access various functions through the touchscreen or the steering wheel controls, such as navigation, music, phone, and climate control. The E-Traveller Allure also has a head-up display, which projects key information, such as speed, range, and driving aids, onto the windscreen. This helps you keep your eyes on the road and stay focused on driving.

The e-Traveller Allure is powered by a 100kW electric motor and a 50kWh or 75kWh battery, depending on the version. The 50kWh battery offers a range of up to 143 miles, while the 75kWh battery extends the range to up to 211 miles. The E-Traveller Allure can be charged using a standard domestic socket, a wallbox, or a public fast charger. It can reach 80% of its charge in 30 minutes using a 100kW fast charger or in 45 minutes using a 50kW fast charger.

The Peugeot e-Traveller Allure is not only efficient and economical but also safe and smart. It comes with a range of driving aids, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rearview camera, and parking sensors. It also has a Visio Park 180° system on the touchscreen, which gives you a bird’s eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings. This makes parking and maneuvering easier and safer. The E-Traveller Allure also has an electric parking brake, which automatically engages and disengages when you start or stop the vehicle.

How does the Peugeot E-Traveller Allure compare with other electric vans?

The Peugeot e-Traveller Allure is one of the best electric vans on the market, offering a great balance of space, performance, and features. However, it is not the only option for transport professionals who want to go electric. Here are some of the main competitors of the E-Traveller Allure and how they compare in terms of price, range, and load capacity:

ModelPrice (USD)Range (miles)Load capacity (cubic metres)
Peugeot e-Traveller Allure$54,000 - $59,000143 - 2114.5 - 6.1
Citroen e-SpaceTourer Feel$52,000 - $57,000143 - 2114.5 - 6.1
Vauxhall Vivaro-e Elite$51,000 - $56,000143 - 2114.6 - 6.6
Mercedes EQV Sport$83,000 - $88,0002136.0
Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo$60,000 - $65,000200 - 2586.6

As you can see, the Peugeot E-Traveller Allure is very similar to its sister models from Citroen and Vauxhall, which share the same platform and powertrain. The main differences are in the design, equipment, and warranty. The Peugeot E-Traveller Allure has a more premium look and feel and comes with an eight-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty, compared with five years or 62,000 miles for the Citroen and Vauxhall.

The Mercedes EQV Sport is the most expensive and luxurious option, offering a longer range and higher comfort and technology. However, it is also heavier and less practical, with a lower payload and towing capacity. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo is the most futuristic and innovative option, featuring a fully autonomous driving mode, a solar roof, and a modular interior. However, it is not yet available to buy and is expected to be more expensive than the Peugeot E-Traveller Allure.

Conclusion

The Peugeot E-Traveller Allure is an excellent choice for transport professionals who want to switch to electric mobility. It offers a generous and flexible space, a decent and realistic range, fast and easy charging, and a high level of comfort and safety. It is also competitively priced and well-equipped, making it a great value for money. The Peugeot E-Traveller Allure is a versatile electric van that can meet the needs of various customers, from families and businesses to hotels and airports. It is a smart and sustainable way to travel without compromising on quality and performance. @via Peugeot.
